Whiteout on the Col du Berard

Photo taken during a tour of Le Massif de Aiguilles Rouges in Chamonix, France. We climbed the crowded Col de Aiguille Crochues from the top of the lift at Flegere, and descended into the storm on the Combe de la Balme, leaving the crowd behind on the regular traverse. I snapped this photo as we began the climb to the Col du Berard. We were touring with a local guide, Yannick Graziani, a real bad ass.
