Ellen Bowley Full Tilt Show Us Your Boots Contest Entry

This is me in all my gear with a brand new pair of sick Moment Sierras, stoked for the coming season in Les Arcs, France! My only problem is my boots... I've been using these old Lange freeride clogs for as long as I can remember and they were fine for learning in and are super light but that's where the fun ends. As I've progressed as a skier I've encountered so many problems... The fit - They are soooooo tight I can barely feel my feet! they come too far up my leg and the shinbang is these is horrible, agonising, my toes feel like they are naked in my bindings! After all the use they have been put through they just don't offer anywhere near enough support round my ankles, the shells are so thin you can see the shape of my foot through them. As a female skier who has been riding solidly for 15 years and am starting to go big in the park I need something with the clout to hold my foot in place and stop it slipping all over my topsheets which is what happens in my Lange's at the moment, rails are a bloody nightmare. Finally, I need a boot with a bit more warmth than my current steeds, the frostbite each time I ride is becoming unbearable and I think I'm about to lose a toe... So please Full Tilt, set me up with some Soul Sisters or Mary Janes and let me swap these old watercolour nightmares for a full thickness, super supportive 3-piece shell and some nice, cosy, well fitting pro liners! I implore you!
First off, I like to ski more than anything, and my new full tilts seemed like a godsend. I have worked and gone to college full time for the past two years and saving money is really tough. When i finally got my first pair of full tilts i was more excited than a sloth on a jetski. Little did i know my feet were going to grow exponentially and now my boots don't fit and I have to save all my money to move out west after this summer.I want to have the most radical and tubular time out west but the options are sparse. Help me fulltilt, you are my ONLY HOPE.
I don't need new boots. I got plenty
After been a snowboarder for several years i saw the light and switched to skis. Trouble is I can't lock down the heels on my current boots and it makes steezy skiing kinda hard. Everyone has told me "fix the heel fix the problem". So even though my soul is freed similar to my heel on tele's, I dream of the day I can land front seat and ride out or even nose butter like all the cool kids in the park! If i win these boots the money I save will be spent on some longer shorts that go past the knee and a bigger pile rug so i can continue to pursue skiing within the comfort of my home. One Love!
I skied on my Full Tilt Originals for more than 10 weeks during a full season out at Thredbo, Australia. I also used them for two weeks in Austria, where one of the buckles fell off. I now have no chance of fitting them for the next season. Full Tilts here in Australia are ridiculously expensive, and I'm not going abroad before the upcoming season. Full Tilts are simply the best boots I've ever tried and I would keep using my boots if I still fit them.
Dear Full Tilt, my current boots are very uncomfortable and they are also my dads so we can never go skiing together, and my parents make me pay for all my skiing equipment and I can't afford nice boots like full tilts. Pretty much the only terrain i ski is park and i always come home with terrible shin bang and usually have to wait a couple days for it to heal before I can go skiing with my friends again. I would really like to progress in the park and it is very difficult when you don't have nice boots that prevent shin bang. skiing is my passion and its all I look forward to the whole year. I would be very grateful if i got a brand new pair of full tilts. Thanks
My two passions have always been art and skiing. All year round I do art, but living in the Midwest I can't ski all year round. So to compensate I do more art, but there's always that emptiness that lingers... But fear not! I have found the antidote. Combine skiing with art and add some Mac n' Cheese, and WHA LA!!! A satisfying delicious constructive way to kill time until Winter! The only problem is I'm running out of ski gear to paint... If only there were a omniscient power that I could try to persuade to bestow a new pair of boots upon me to help solve Summer boredom (and to provide a comfortable dependable boot for the upcoming season)!
Dear Full Tilt, I want Full Tilts because I am almost growing out of my dads old Tecnica's (which btw are now 15 years old) and I don't have enough money to buy Full Tilt's. The reason why i want Full Tilt's is because of everyday of skiing i come home with Shin and Heel Bang also the Tecnicas are way too stiff and because of this i was very close to breaking my leg. And are also much heavier, i've wanted Full Tilts since i was a kid and im even fitted for them. Without Full Tilts i feel that i wont be able to progress in Park but with Full Tilts i will be inspired to progress and will remember this forever. Please help me progress and change my skiing life. Please help me Full Tilt as Obi Wan-Kanobi said "Your my Only Hope" at least that's what i think he said? Thank you Full Tilts, Jack Donovan
My feet got bigger :)
Have mercy on my old boots and me, We've skied together since 1983. New liners and heels Flex adorns, But oh, how the toes are so worn. From Crested Butte to Vail we have played, Aspen, Steamboat, Breck all those days. I was young, now I'm old, I refuse to be told, No more Raichle Flexons for me. Signed, The Skier (Waiting for her next pair or will never give up the old boots.) and her Boots (Best boots ever but please let me retire.)
So my old boots (I asume based on the smell, bought them from a ski swap) were used in a pond skim... my mom is sick and tired of the moldy smell, and makes me crawl up the stairs after skiing so my feet wont touch the carpet and get it stinky. Anywho, my mom would really like to get rid of those things and I would too, not just because of the smell but because they're heavier than my friends race boots (7.5 lbs each). Thanks guys
