Web Development Lead - FULL-TIME

Teton Gravity Research, a global leader in action sports media, is seeking a Web Development Lead. The successful candidate will be a true "Player/Coach" able to manage a small & growing development team while contributing to digital initiatives across the entire company. Project management skills are essential as is the ability to function in a front-end developer role. You will work in tandem with our back-end programmer and web designer, as well as our content and social media team.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Laying and executing front end detailed technical specifications, including development environments, version control processes, HTML and javascript frameworks for end products, emphasizing modularity and flexible object-oriented programming to accommodate various backend data threads
  • Project manage daily maintenance, code releases and major feature builds
  • Working with web designer on the overall product graphic vision
  • Collaborating with digital team on execution from wireframe and prototype to final product
  • Stewarding quality of front-end engineering team's code base and development workflows, and leading by example with diligent work ethic

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in software engineering, computer science, or other similar discipline from an accredited college/university
  • At least 3-5 years work experience with demonstrable leadership in front end design and portfolio of extant functional apps/websites to review
  • HTML/HTLM5/CSS3 proficiency
  • Working knowledge of jQuery, familiarity w/ PHP
  • Bootstrap, Emmet or similar framework toolkits
  • Superb oral and written communication skills

Favorable consideration will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

  • Working knowledge of Expression Engine CMS
  • Understanding of Vbulletin forum plug-in
  • Working knowledge of Magento e-commerce software
  • Agile/scrum methodology
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience

TV Series Video Editor - CONTRACT

Teton Gravity Research (TGR) is seeking an experienced video editor with great story telling experience for an adventure lifestyle episodic TV series.

Core Responsibilities:

  • - Work with a team of editors under a lead editor and post production supervisor
  • - Convert raw footage into compelling storylines within the series / episode creative
  • - Potentially work on multiple episodes at a time
  • - Maintain the post production schedule and hit deadlines in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • - Willing to relocate for the term of the contract to Jackson, WY
  • - Able to work in a team environment
  • - Proficient in Adobe Premiere CC
  • - Great, self-starter attitude with ability to take feedback during the approval process
  • - Some understanding of the action sports / adventure lifestyle
  • - Willingness to go the extra mile

Post Production - INTERNSHIP

Internships are available for students interested in learning about and gaining experience at one of the fastest growing brands in the action sports industry.

Interns will assist in management of the online media team with projects, planning, execution and administration. Strong organization and communication skills are required. A passion for action sports and youth culture is a plus.

We have two main intern sessions per year, but also look at additional help over the off seasons:

Summer Internships: run May - September. Application window: Feb 1st to April 15th

Winter Internships: run December - May. Application window: Oct 1st to Nov 15th

Off Season: additional internships accepted on a case-by-case basis

Internship Learning Plan:

  • - Create short form videos (15 sec – 5 min) from TGR film content
  • - Use TGR post production tools for editing, music, and creative production
  • - Learn and work closely with our Production and Digital Media Teams
  • - Help upload content to TetonGravity.com and our media partners
  • - Create best practices for action sport content library and edits

Skills and Education Requirements:

  • - High School Degree required. Applicants should be in college or have a college degree

Time Requirements and Other Details:

  • - Hours: 30 per week minimum (Flexible depending on outside employment situation)
  • - Duration: 3 months

Editorial and Social Media - INTERNSHIP

This position requires strong organization and excellent written communication skills. A passion for action sports and youth culture is a plus.

  • - Assist the Social Media editor with executing TGR’s social media strategy across diverse platforms, including Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, Google +, Pinterest, and Tumblr
  • - Assist with distributing TGR content to syndication partners and sourcing high quality aggregated videos for TGR’s site
  • - Assist with tracking and reporting monthly social media and editorial metrics
  • - Collaborate with the editorial team to develop and execute projects that drive traffic to tetongravity.com and increase fan engagement

Graphic Design - INTERNSHIP

Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and experience with HTML and CSS is required. This position also requires strong organization and excellent written communication skills. Most importantly, passion for action sports and youth culture is a must!

Winter Internships: run December - May. Application window: Oct 1st to Nov 15th
