Digital Content Manager - FULL TIME

Teton Gravity Research (TGR) is seeking an experienced website and social media Digital Content Manager with a proven track record of success. This individual will create and implement TGR’s digital media content strategies, lead initiatives for content creation, aggregation, publishing and content management. The Digital Content Manager manages TGR content calendar, posts digital media content (videos, stories, photos) and spearheads TGR’s video syndication programs. This position collaborates closely with Community/Editorial and Social Media Managers to grow TGR community and digital revenue. The ideal candidate is well-versed in digital media publishing trends, has strong editorial skills, proven managerial skills, is detail oriented, and appreciates working both independently and in a highly collaborative environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • - Promote TGR brand by publishing epic action sports content to maximize fan engagement in growing revenue and website page/video views
  • - Manage a small team in creating and aggregating video content for TGR’s website and tie in with social media and marketing initiatives
  • - Collaborate with Community/Editorial Manager to create the content voice and vision for Teton Gravity.com and within the TGR Community
  • - Develop and execute initiatives that drive growth, especially TGR’s expansion into multi-sport, four season action sports content
  • - Develop and manage TGR’s video syndication strategy and programming
  • - Collaborate with endemic and non-endemic media to ensure the successful delivery of weekly web series content, copy, and photos
  • - Develop and manage TGR’s YouTube and Vimeo platforms, playlists, and strategies
  • - Assist in marketing the TGR films, TV and production initiatives on TGR’s website
  • - Collaborate with the advertising sales team to identify and develop content and editorial projects that build and strengthen partner relations
  • - Track and analyze key content KPIs and make data-driven decisions
  • - Collaborate with the production team and social media manager to secure photos, video, and interviews from film makers and athletes on assignment
  • - Craft copy for key initiatives including website content, advertising assets, film synopses, and branding resources

Qualifications:

  • - 3-5 years of experience in a related field such as digital media/publishing, TV or digital content distribution or online video/editorial
  • - Established track record in effectively creating and executing content creation on media or community website – ideally in action sports and video
  • - Work experience in an online capacity and success in building: content, community, and commerce
  • - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as an ability to think and plan strategically
  • - Outstanding editing, proof-reading, project management skills
  • - Self-starter who can lead a team and work independently
  • - A concrete understanding of social media and search engine marketing
  • - Experience using content management tools and tracking web and social media analytics
  • - Ability to identify, adopt, and instruct others in best practices pertaining content aggregation and syndication
  • - Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, business or similar area of study

This is a full-time position based in TGR’s Wilson office.

Post Production - INTERNSHIP

Internships are available for students interested in learning about and gaining experience at one of the fastest growing brands in the action sports industry.

Interns will assist in management of the online media team with projects, planning, execution and administration. Strong organization and communication skills are required. A passion for action sports and youth culture is a plus.

We have two main intern sessions per year, but also look at additional help over the off seasons:

Summer Internships: run May - September. Application window: Feb 1st to April 15th

Winter Internships: run December - May. Application window: Oct 1st to Nov 15th

Off Season: additional internships accepted on a case-by-case basis

Internship Learning Plan:

  • - Create short form videos (15 sec – 5 min) from TGR film content
  • - Use TGR post production tools for editing, music, and creative production
  • - Learn and work closely with our Production and Digital Media Teams
  • - Help upload content to TetonGravity.com and our media partners
  • - Create best practices for action sport content library and edits

Skills and Education Requirements:

  • - High School Degree required. Applicants should be in college or have a college degree

Time Requirements and Other Details:

  • - Hours: 30 per week minimum (Flexible depending on outside employment situation)

Editorial and Social Media - INTERNSHIP

Interns will assist the online team with creating editorial and social media content, planning and executing projects, and administrative responsibilities. This position requires strong organization and excellent written communication skills. A passion for action sports and youth culture is a plus.

We have two main intern sessions per year, but also look at additional help over the off seasons:

  • - Assist with distributing TGR content to syndication partners and sourcing high quality aggregated videos for TGR’s site
  • - Assist with tracking and reporting monthly social media and editorial metrics
  • - Collaborate with the editorial team to develop and execute projects that drive traffic to tetongravity.com and increase fan engagement

Graphic Design - INTERNSHIP

Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and experience with HTML and CSS is required. This position also requires strong organization and excellent written communication skills. Most importantly, passion for action sports and youth culture is a must!

We have two main intern sessions per year, but also look at additional help over the off seasons:

Summer Internships: run May - September. Application window: Feb 1st to April 15th

Winter Internships: run December - May. Application window: Oct 1st to Nov 15th

Internship Learning Plan:
