Rick grew up in Durango, Colorado as part of a fourth generation Durango family. He moved to Jackson Hole in the winter of 1988-89. Married to Hollee Armstrong in 1998 who is his best friend and amazing business partner.
Rick is a world renowned skier and is rated by Powder magazine as "One of the top 50 skiers in North America".
He is a recognized industry insider and consultant to the largest outdoor clothing company in the world - The North Face. He has been featured in more than 50 ski movies and television shows with his likeness having been seen on ads across the globe, including the big screens in Times Square.
In 2004 he was nominated and declared "Jackson Hole Business Person of the Year". He has conceptualized and been part of multiple businesses including Teton Gravity Research and YogaToday.com. His interests include paragliding, mountain biking, and business. He sees the future full of fun and great times with his two daughters, Ellie Snow and Marebelle Armstrong.
He was once nominated for a "Prime-Time Emmy".
