Great video! Shows how great the conditions have been. One of these days I will make it into one of your videos.

No more pussy footing that snow making pipe huck in the last minute or so of that video. Huck that shit!! It's too fun not to!!

Diamondback, we already knew this but you are my sister from another mister!! I freaking love you! We have a ton in common, you are awesome and you have NO PROBLEM charging on skis. I've been waiting for you for years, where you been? Glad you are feeling well. See you tomorrow. Took Maggie for a 7 mile snowshoe today...we are excited about tomorrow but I may have some severe blisters to deal with.

A few from Big Jay on Sunday:

Fixedgrip looking for a way up

Our ill chosen route provided an occasional glimpse of the surrounding area, and many dead ends.

Is that a gnome crawling out of his dark, secret place?

Nope. It's Fixedgrip.

The snow was not conducive to actions shots, but it was a good day.

And here is Sadie enjoying some Brooklyn powder

I have two excuses your honor:

1. I was waiting for Thin Cover to get the camera set up

2. The snow was heavy and sticky so I had to stomp out a platform just to slide to the edge of the cliff

In any event I forgot how much fun that huck is, I had sworn it off after nearly breaking my knees on it the last time I did it, so it was a nice confidence boost to know I went up and did it twice and only smashed myself once

Last weekend, it was foggy at Jay and none of us could see, so we built a road gap down the street from our house. I'm psyched because it's the first time I've ever hit a road gap and it was my first time jumping this year. I don't know how into it you guys will be, but I find it entertaining to relive the crashes.

Well defendant it seems the jury rules in your favor. Yeah that is too much fun. One of my fav's personally. The best was once upon a time when upper Red was open you could ski Upper, huck that and keep on trucking down Red. Ahhh the good ole days...before closed Upper, before kids...before I felt like I was getting old.

Cool vid but I think it's pretty obvious that you didn't clear the gap clean on the first two attempts because of Alan's calculations. It should have been a lobster in the top right corner of his calculations and not an elephant.

Making your first road gap with tow in deserves either some serious therapy (or at least a t-shirt)...

No wonder Bumpskier said she'd ski with us if we came down last Monday... she wanted to kick my ass for giving her grief about storm chasing. Now I'm really glad I avoided that beat down! (EW & TC took care of kicking my ass for her, though.)

PS- BS, you have no right to complain about feeling old until you get to at least 40.

Sick video... One of the sketchier in runs I've ever seen. I also like how your bomb holes of the two previous runs, cleared the way for the smooth landing on the third.

Only on the EC do you build a big kicker over a road to a nice FLAT landing. Way to get after it.

Does it count if my knees feel like they are 40+? You guys crack me up and give me a slight ego boost all at the same time. That combined with a sunny day makes me smile! Thanks! Now if I could only do something about these nasty blisters on my heels...Note to self, next time I go on a 7 mile snow shoe it's imperative I wear the right socks. I bailed on a skin this am with Diamondback and Nihiles due to these f'ers. Did scope out some decent bc lines though...And for the first time in months my puppy was exhausted. Where do they get all this boundless energy from?

Adam - What a road gap. Duke rocks. You guys are nuts.

And Jeff (Biker/boarder) if you ever want tips/advice just ask. I never really offer it outright because not everyone wants it...

BD, I wouldn't kick your ass...you throw far too awesome of a shin dig for that. And cook a mean pig.

See some of you folks this weekend!! To those I don't..have fun before this craptastic weather system heads our way.

Anyone up at Jay this weekend? Got Friday off from work so I'm gonna head up tonight.

Would really, really, really love to get my hands on some Buy 1 Get 1 coupons - any locals (or anyone on the way) might be able to hook me up? I'll be staying at Grampa's most likely and skiing in bright orange pants, black jacket, and on Scott Punishers. Ask for change.

Fuck. Grampa's is all full. Any other tips on lodging? I've never stayed anywhere but there. Me and a non-mag buddy are coming up. Happy to crash on floors/couches and show up with lots and lots of beer. We won't break or steal your shit, promise. I live around the corner from Nihiles, so if we're shitty guests, he can punch me in the face, film it, and post it up for everyone to see. No joke.

Either that or we're gonna freeze our dicks off sleeping in the CRV.

Edit: I don't actually know Nihiles... I'm just volunteering to be punched in the face by a local mag if I exhibit jong qualities.

if you're going to namedrop Nihiles you might also want to mention that you'll keep your clothes on and not violate any groceries.
